Below you'll find some of the feedback our clients have shared publicly about our services and the benefits of at-home pet hospice and euthanasia.

We had to make the hardest and most painful decision of our lives, not once, but twice in the course several weeks. We had to say goodbye to both of our dogs. Dr. Anderson and Dr. Tayloe helped us give our sick pups peace and comfort in their final hours. I am forever grateful to them. We got to say goodbye from the comfort of our home and their own beds, and to fall asleep and pass on peacefully. Our hearts are broken but we are so very glad we were able to do it in such a humane way, in their own time. What a beautiful gift that was. - Erika S.

They made such a difficult time easier...highly recommend! They were so compassionate! - Jennifer D.

Absolutely wonderful. Thank you so much for one last good memory with my cat. We got to stay at home with her, where she was happy, on our back deck. She watched the bird feeder and snuggled in my arms as she drifted peacefully to sleep. I cannot thank you enough for the empathy and compassion you should during this hard time. - Mary W.

I could not recommend Coastal Pet Hospice enough. Dr. Tayloe was so incredibly compassionate, professional, and loving when we said goodbye to our dear 21 year old cat Carlos. He left this life exactly where he spent it: at home with his family. Dr. Tayloe is a true gift to Wilmington. Thank you so much for giving our family the chance to see him peacefully over the rainbow bridge. We are beyond grateful. - Kelli L.

On one of our hardest days, Dr. Anderson showed up and immediately calmed our nerves and helped us through. Losing a pet is never easy, but the process was peaceful and calm. We were educated on how things would go and given privacy when it was needed throughout. She also dealt with our two younger, more rambunctious dogs with ease as we wanted them to be present. This was my first time dealing with euthanizing a pet and after my experience, I will never go another route than having it done at home. It was worth every cent and Dr. Anderson is truly an Angel on earth. - Madeline B.

I was struggling with the decision to have my big boy Brutus euthanized. He had cancer and was starting to feel the effects of it . I had him for almost 13 years. The entire experience from beginning to end was very pleasant and made me really appreciate such services. Dr Tayloe made us feel super important and special from my first interaction with her. She explained everything thoroughly. She has this most wonderful presence about her. Both my pups immediately felt comfortably around her. You can tell that she has a lot of compassion and love. She made my big boy feel loved and comfortable. He fell asleep peacefully surrounded by me (his human mom) and by my husband (his human dad) and his Sister was also near by. He will be missed but I am glad I was able to let him transition in a most beautiful way. - Rose M.

On short notice Dr. Anderson was able to come out and peacefully bring my sweet Sydney to rest in our home. She was extremely kind and empathetic and explained everything before beginning so I would know what to expect. Especially with how sudden Sydney’s illness appeared, the whole situation was absolutely heartbreaking, but Dr. Anderson was able to bring us great comfort in our difficult time. Cannot thank her enough. - Erika V.
